Survey – Wireless

Would you share the same concerns?  Here are common complaints that might be familiar:

  1. Our wireless plans include voice minutes that we don’t even use;
  2. Our monthly GB data is used up quickly due to the use of video communications;
  3. Additional GB per dollar value is considered expensive to meet our needs; and
  4. Confusion and frustration is happening among us upon learning different deals or special discounts at same or different wireless companies.

Prior to the first submission to the CRTC on July 14th, the committee realized they need to have solid evidence to support their mandate and their claims.  Gathering data information through a survey would demonstrate how legitimate the issues are.  Using the data information as evidence, the committee plans to share a report with the three federal wireless telecom groups:

  1. Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)
  2. Commission for Complaints for Telecommunications Services (CCTS)
  3. Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA)

The final report with the data information will made public at the upcoming CRTC TNC 2015-134 hearing in April 2016.  The CCTS and CWTA will receive the same report at the time of hearing as well.   The results of the survey will be made public after the hearing and will be available on the DWCC website: www.deafwireless.ca and the CAD-ASC website: www.cad.ca
